No. The tools process your files in your browser, and file contents are not uploaded to our servers. We do collect some other data, such as page analytics (Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics). The privacy policy has the details.
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari work for the core tools. Very large files work best in Chrome or Edge on a desktop computer.

No. You need a connection to load the page. After that, your browser does the processing.
Open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and use a tool. You will see requests for the page and for analytics, but no request that sends your file.
Many people do, because file contents stay in the browser. Check the output before you share it. For example, the redaction tool covers text with black boxes but does not yet remove the text underneath. Whether the tools meet a specific regulatory requirement depends on your organisation's policies.
